About
Fine art and design go hand and hand. Understanding composition, color and concept are attributes they both require. Having formal training in both fields has given me a clean and simple aesthetic with a conceptual base. I typically use a mixture of printmaking, fibers andmetals in my work. Conceptually, I get most of my inspiration from documentaries and publications that focus on social and political information. The most common idea I work with is feminism and thecondition of women today. I tend to work and think conceptually, therefore my work gravitates towards fine art. However, I find myself going between both extremes and incorporating the knowledge and aesthetics of both into my work. This makes my work appealing to a broad demographic. With this, I hope that everyone can get something out of my work, whether it’s purely for design or for the message the image conveys.
